Surefire Affiliate Marketing Strategies That Work
A plan of action or policy designed to achieve a major or overall aim.”time to develop a coherent economic strategy”synonyms: master plan, grand design, game plan, plan (of action), action plan, policy, program; whether you’re new to affiliate marketing or already making millions of dollars per year online you need solid fundamental strategies. If you’re already killing it online you almost certainly already have them solidly in place and working for you every day.
Here are a few rock-solid affiliate marketing strategies that you should implement immediately if you’re not already using them. These are the same principals that are used by the highest earning, most successful affiliate marketers in the world.
A Plan Of Action: It’s no coincidence that the first four words of the definition of strategy in the box at the top of the page make up the number one most important single element of affiliate marketing. (Or any business for that matter). Fail to have a plan and you can most certainly plan on failing.
Listbuilding: You must make listbuilding a priority since its the second most important element of successful internet marketers. I’m sure you’ve heard before that the money is in the list because it is. Your list is the most important asset you’ll create since its one of the few things that you have complete control over. Markets, products, programs, platforms, websites, and advertising mediums come and go but your list belongs to you so you had better build it and nurture it. If you build your list right it will become the most reliable source of income that you have.
Building Relations: Affiliate marketing is relationship marketing and you better approach it that way or you’ll soon find yourself out of business. I’m not just talking about building relationships with your list either. You also need to build solid relationships with your site visitors, customers, vendors, competitors (yes your competitors), JV’s, outsourcers, affiliate managers, business owners, and other marketers to name just a few.
Consistency: This principle is vital to successful affiliate marketing and applies to several key areas:
- Creating new content with posts and pages on your website to keep readers engaged and search engines happy
- Communicating with your list and all of the other people I just mentioned above
- Finding new markets, offers, and product launches to keep your business relevant and your customers enticed
- Building traffic and links to your sites
- Social media shares and engagement
- Always creating new products, services, and offers
Analytics: Affiliate marketing is a numbers game. If you don’t know your numbers you simply don’t know your business. Learn how to track every analytic related to internet marketing (traffic sources, conversion rates, click through rates, earnings per click, ROI, reversal rate, ROAS, impressions, attribution, etc.) Knowing how to read your numbers and adjust your strategy is what separates the average affiliates from the super affiliates.
Funnels: Learn how to build funnels to channel your prospects through your websites and your offers to get the highest conversion rates possible.
Creating Your Own Products: Affiliate marketing is fundamentally SOPP (selling other people’s products) but your income will skyrocket when you start producing and launching your own products, programs, and services for others to help you sell. You don’t have to create your own product out of the gate but you should be at least thinking about your own products and have plan to get it made. Hell, you can outsource this too if you think you can’t do it on your own!
Honesty: Protect your reputation at all costs. You do this by being upfront and honest with everyone you do business with. Successful internet marketing relies on trust and your personal reputation. If damaged, your online reputation is nearly impossible to repair.
